CompTIA A+ provides the necessary knowledge required to assemble components based on customer requirements, install, configure and maintain devices, PCs and software for end users, understand the basics of networking and security/forensics, properly and safely diagnose, resolve and document common hardware and software issues while applying troubleshooting skills.
Successful candidates will also provide appropriate customer support and understand the basics of virtualization, desktop imaging, and deployment.

Prerequisite:

• Use a keyboard and mouse
• Recognize the main components of a PC and different data media such as USB drives and DVD
• Start the computer and navigate the desktop
• Use Windows Explorer to create directories and subdirectories and manage files
• Use Internet Explorer to view websites

CompTIA Network+ provides the necessary skills required to troubleshoot, configure, and manage common network wireless and wired devices, establish basic network design and connectivity, understand and maintain network documentation, identify network limitations and weaknesses, and implement network security, standards, and protocols. The candidate will have a basic understanding of emerging technologies including unified communications, mobile, cloud, and virtualization technologies.

Prerequisite:

• Basic Windows skills and a fundamental understanding of computer concepts are required
• Network experience is recommended but not required
• CompTIA A+ certification or the equivalent skills and knowledge is highly recommended but not mandatory

CompTIA Security+ provides the necessary skills required to identify risk, to participate in risk mitigation activities, and to provide infrastructure, application, information, and operational security. In addition, the successful candidate will apply security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability, identify appropriate technologies and products, troubleshoot security events and incidents, and operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations.

Prerequisite:

• This course is targeted toward an Information Technology (IT) professional who has networking and administrative skills , CompTIA Network+, who want to further a career in IT by acquiring a foundational knowledge of security.

CCNA provides the necessary skills and includes intensive instructor-led training and hands-on labs. Students will learn how to install, operate, configure and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, identifying basic security threats, understanding redundant topologies, troubleshooting common network issues, connecting to a WAN, configuring EIGRP and OSPF in both IPv4 and IPv6, understanding wide-area network technologies, and getting familiar with device management and Cisco licensing.

Prerequisite:

• Basic Windows navigation and keyboard literacy skills
• Basic Internet usage skills
• Basic IP addressing knowledge
